Stranger

Who is that stranger?

That walking by shadow that made my heart pound

That smile that could turn ice into fire

And rock into soft plasticine.

Perhaps astray went my illusion of serenity

Perhaps the dawn of us this day will become.

But at the end of the spiral

It’s cold and dark and full of doubt

And there you are in a secluded shell of bliss

A velvet weapon in your eyes is sheltered

Dragging me through the morning light

And in between the raindrops that caress the earth

Who are you, stranger?

A lonely soul who needs a hand in his;

A martyr with nothing left there to believe in;

Or just a passer by making his way into the other room?

So many questions and yet of no importance

For now I see my heart turned into plasticine.
